www.excaliburtrial.com is a site created by 10 Degrees as part of a research project undertaken by the University of Southampton (the “University” or “we”, or “us”), on the feasibility of conducting a clinical trial in herbal treatment for COPD in the UK.

By using www.excaliburtrial.com (the ‘Website’), you confirm that you accept the following terms of use (“Terms of Use”) and that you agree to comply with them. By using and submitting to the Website, you indicate that you have read and accepted our Terms of Use:

When you register for the trial on the Website, you will be asked to provide details including your name, email address, telephone number, address and GP practice. You are responsible for the information that you enter onto the Website.

Intellectual property and acceptable use

1. All Content included on the Website, unless uploaded by Users, is the property of 10 Degrees and the University of Southampton. In these terms and conditions, Content means any graphics, audio, video, software, data compilations, page layout, underlying code and software, other than those credited to a third party. By continuing to use the Website you acknowledge that such Content is protected by copyright, trademarks, database rights and other intellectual property rights. Nothing on this site shall be construed as granting, by implication, estoppel, or otherwise, any license or right to use any trademark, logo or service mark displayed on the Website without the owners’ prior written permission.

2. You may, for your own personal and non-commercial use, do the following:

User Consent

1. By submitting data to the Website, you are giving consent to have your data collected by us and shown on the Website as part of the research project.

2. You will be asked to submit data such as your name, email address, telephone number, address and GP practice. Please note that the information you upload to the Website will be visible to the University of Southampton research staff and delegated trial staff at your GP Practice. Please refer to the Website’s Privacy Notice.

3. Your data will be processed as described in the Website’s Privacy Notice. Your data will be accessed only by our university research team; delegated trial staff at your GP Practice; and delegated 10 Degrees staff where necessary.

4. Anonymised data will be used to report use of the Website. Any data collected or generated on the Website will be treated according to the Data Protection Act 2018 that mirrors the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016 (GDPR) and the University of Southampton’s Data Protection Policy, which you can find here [Link].

Limitation and exclusion of liability

1. We do not exclude or limit in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so.

We will not be liable to you for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, even if foreseeable, arising under or in connection with use of (or inability to use) our Website, or use of or reliance on any content displayed on our Website.
